One Senior Officer who retired recently could not adjust with family life at home after serving long years in the Govt

He opened one Office chamber in a room of his big house and sat there from
9 am to 6 pm daily, except Saturday and Sunday, with files, register and Office furniture .

One day his wife asked him to go to the market to purchase some essential items .Then the officer told his wife to put up the proposal through a file.

Accordingly his wife put up 17 items that were necessary for household.--- the note sheet reads -- PUC contains 17 items, serial 1 to 17 and their quantities that are needed to be procured at the earliest for maintenance of the family .

Put up for approval and urgent procurement, please.

The the Rtd. Officer after vetting the PUC, remarked that "" in view of the austerity measures post-retirement, unnecessary expenditure must be curtailed.Ticked 9 items are approved for procurement. Rates of each of these items may be collected from the local market and further put up for expenditure approval /sanction with the certificate under Rule 154 of GFR 2017 that the rates are reasonable, quality is good and supplier is reliable.

His wife got so angry that she decided to leave him behind and went to her maternal house.

The officer then told his wife to apply for station leave permission and record her address for the leave duration. His wife did so.

The officer noted in her station leave application :

# Station Leave granted subject to providing a

# suitable_substitute. Otherwise, will not be relieved, leave will be debited, of course.
